    2024 Graduation Ceremony Information

    4:00 pm

    Dickies Arena  

    Students must arrive by 2:30pm and be seated by 3pm.

    Students may not bring bags, keys, or phones. They must be left in their car or with family.

    Students wanting to ride a bus from BHS to and from Dickies Arena need to sign up here:

    Families and friends will be admitted into Dickies Arena at 3pm.

     Graduation Expectations:
     

    Senior Graduation Attire

    More than anything, we want this ceremony to feel as special as possible. One way to do that is to practice the same formal dress requirements as all of the classes that preceded you.

    Below are all of the standards of dress as defined by Birdville High School and Birdville ISD. If you have special needs, please contact your Counselor or Ms. Beasley. They may be able to help.

    All Graduates

    • Gown - Pressed - do this ahead of time because they are severely wrinkled.
    • Cap & Tassel - Only the tassel may be worn on the cap - no other adornments, writings or decorations allowed.
    • Cords/Regalia - Nothing worn outside of gown other than cords, medals, or sashes issued by the Counselors.
    • Black Dress Shoes - No athletic shoes or flip flops. High heels are not recommended. All black cowboy/western boots are acceptable.
    • No -     Bags, back packs or purses;

    No Gum;
    No cell phones or electronic devices, no ear phones/buds (let your family hold these or keep them in your car).
     
    Ladies
    • Dresses/skirts must be school appropriate in length and must not show below the robe.
    • Black slacks
    • Top must meet or overlap at waistband of skirt or pants.
    • Appropriate jewelry.

    • Black dress pants with black socks. (No jeans or shorts.)
    • Black belt.
    • White dress shirt with collar. Must be pressed/ironed. No t-shirts.
    • Black or navy tie. (Solid color preferred, no pattern.)

    GRADUATION TO BE BROADCAST LIVE

    Do you have family and friends who are not able to attend graduation this year? Â鶹ӰÒô has been working to be able to livestream each of the graduation ceremonies using Facebook Live. Don’t have Facebook? That’s okay. Go to birdvilleschools.net to view the live event on the front of the District’s website. 

     

     

    Invitations/Announcements are mailed to you.
    April 11th: Graduation Cap/Gown delivery during Senior Meeting and in all lunches; pick up in the C200 office after the 11th.
